This month our Little Disciples Bible study series will take a look at prayer. Your kids can become “Prayer Detectives”, investigating the 5 W’s (who, what, when, where, why) and an H (how) of prayer.
As in previous months, we’ll be using the “RAMP up” method with prompts to read, apply, make it stick, and pray, as well as weekly memory verses in an easy to print and cut format. Your family can look forward to fun activities like a prayer scavenger hunt, as well as some deeper theology as we tackle topics like the trinity.
I’m also including a special “Detective Notebook” as a bonus this month with decoding, a crossword puzzle, navigation clues, and other detective themed fun. You can download and print it below to go along with the complete study.

I’m looking forward to working on this with my girls, while also recognizing that they won’t grasp every bit (especially Hope). I just want to encourage, as I mentioned last month, that even if kids don’t understand everything, they’re still being exposed to important truths of faith from a young age and you’re starting to build a foundation that can continue to grow throughout their lives.
I hope you’ll join us for this month’s study! Download the Prayer Detectives PDF below, as well as the Detective Notebook word document if you’re interested.
If you’re just joining us, you can also check back under Resources for Families to see the past couple months of studies. As we dive into prayer this month I’ll be praying for all the Little Disciples being raised up to stand for Christ in this world!

PS I’m extra excited about our special advent study for next month! I love Christmas and the whole Christmas season and am really looking forward to adding these advent studies to our family’s celebration throughout the month. I’ll be posting the study early so you can have it ready to go for the first Sunday of advent (which is November 29th). Look for “What Child Is This?”, our Little Disciples advent study, on November 23rd!
